I find the display screen to be everything I want. The digital time display is bold. Below the time is a smaller font display of the month, day date and abbreviated day of the week. All of these are my favorite displays in order to stay aware and on track. The light has 3 levels of strength which is always convenient to have handy. Also, on the back of the body, above the power plug, is an access port to charge your phone if you want to use it. Overall I give this unit 5 stars.
Today I woke up to a sreiking noise it turned out to be the ott light. I unplugged it turned it over and hit the first button, the down button and the noise stopped. Ihad to reset the time and date and so far it is working as before
Like another reviewer, I would give this a zero if I could, too, and for the same reason. The clock face is too bright and not adjustable. Who makes a light these days with an unadjustable display? It doesn't work for me at all, as I have a severe glare problem with my macular degeneration. It's irritating to my eye's wellness, and not usable. I had it in my bedroom, and I couldn't sleep because it was so bright. But it doesn't matter where I have it if the glare from the clockface is so awful. Now I have to make a choice: waste my time calling customer service to return it or give it away. This one thing really is unacceptable for any clock, whether it is embedded in a lamp or not.
I bought this light over a year ago and am most impressed with it in every way. I have never had a problem with it. I wish they made the exact same lamp in a larger size. In addition, I would also like to have at least one in black should they ever decide to offer colors.
