[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bike took about 15 to 20 to put together after getting all the right tools (would be nice if the directions told you what size meteric Allen wrenches you need. Oh by the way don't go looking for that meteric crescent wrench)
Pumped up the tires and went for a ride.
Shifting the gears was smooth and easy to do. All was good. Then came time to try the the E part of the bike after charging up the battery and trying to get a grasp of the info in the book for the display I gave up on the book and just went for it. Got everything turned on and ready to go. Out the drive way and down the road at 20 miles and hour wow that was nice. Then I stopped just to look things over and started to head back home well I peddled all the way home it didn't want to assist again tried a few more times and nope not happening.
So I parked it and went back to try and understand what I was reading in the book.
It's hard to understand what these settings are for there no real explanation like why am I changing the voltage what is the purpose. Huffy please revamp that book and tell us what these settings are used for. Other than that it's a really nice bike just needs a ton of work on that display book.

So much fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t ridden a bike in years and was really excited to try this one out. Putting it together is fairly easy it took us about 30 minutes not counting the time to find the manual ( the manual was in the little box we had sat in the side and forgotten about). We left the bike to charge overnight so it would be ready to ride in the morning. This was my first time using an electric pedal assist bike so it was kinda startling when it would kick on and give me a burst of speed. Once I got used to it I had so much fun ridding it and got it to go pretty fast. I will definitely be using this on a regular basis.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing!!!! I’ve never ridden an electric bike before, but this baby is my new favorite toy. After it was delivered, I ripped that box open and we started assembling it. Took probably a total of 35 to 45 minutes, and most of the time was spent looking for the needed Allen wrenches.
The frame is sturdy as heck and does not feel like it will snap in half. Once I got to the speed of the electric assist to kick in, this baby zoomed, but not scarily. I love that you’re able to take the battery off and charge it off bike if needed. This will come in perfectly when I ride this bike to work. Also comes with 2 keys that lock the battery in place. I cannot wait to take this on so many bike rides coming up. My husband and daughter both love it too.
Solid bike that anyone in the family can use.

Tons of fun to ride

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received our Huffy Transic 26-inch Electric Mountain Bike last week and had several family members ride it each day. It was easy to remove the bike from the box and the bike assembly was also very easy. The only area for improvement on the assembly is to include the allen keys needed, especially if you are going to need 4 different sizes. Detailed instructions were included but really necessary. The tires are wide and meaty and provide a smooth ride even over rough terrain. Disk brakes on the front and back are quite effective and will get you stopped quickly.
The gear shifters provide smooth gear changes and the bike is not too heavy for an electric. I also like the kick-stand on this bike since it's solid enough the support the bike's weight with no worries about tipping over. The torque from the electric assist motor comes on strong to accelerate the bike. It doesn't seem to engage until after the rider has peddled for a short distance. That is the one area I think could be improved is to have a simple on/off switch so the rider is 100% in control of when the electric motor engages/disengages without any delays. Overall, I recommend this bike. It's good value, high quality and so much fun to ride.

So fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never owned an electric bike before and this is so fun! It's way heavier than I was expecting, but makes sense because it has a large battery. The bike doesn't feel heavy when you are riding it, but definitely hard to pick up and move around. I set this bike up out of the box and it's good to have an extra set of hands to help. The speedometer arrived with a cracked screen, but still works fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Transic by Huffy is fun eBike to ride around town or even short distance commutes. This eBike has a max operating range of 25 miles and can go up to speeds of 20 miles per hour. The bike weighs about 50lb with the battery and takes about 8 hours to fully charge. The bike arrives partially assembled. You will need to assemble the front wheel, handle bar and the foot pedals. My first issue arose when I was trying to assemble the handlebar and it seemed like someone was in a rush to put this thing in the box at the factory and get it out the door. My brake cables were all screwed up and I had to spend about 30 minutes trying to get everything in order. Installing the front tire and adjusting the seat were pretty simple. Once I was able to put everything together and fill up air in the tires, which took me almost an hour to do, I took it out for a ride.
This is where I was confused a bit. I was under the impression that there would be an option on this bike to go just all electric where the battery and the motor would just run the bicycle, but instead this is a battery assisted bike, meaning that you would still have to pedal and the battery would kick in to help you pedal and even that would be great but the motor is a hit or miss. You don’t know when or how the battery is kicking in to give you that boost, seemed and felt a bit weird, the battery and the motor were kicking in at odd times. The bike has front and rear disc brakes which actually worked great, even when I was able to get the bike up to speed I was able to come to complete and safe stop. The bike also has a nice and bright headlight for night time riding. There is also a little display which shows your battery level, Speed and the assist level.
Overall, this bike has great potential. It fun to ride around while also getting some exercise in. The issues I have were with the assembly of the bike and the not being able to control when the battery and the motor would kick in and another feature that would make this bike so much better is if they would add an all-electric option as well. it would be nice to be able to have control over when the motor would kick in. The way the current setting is, it still is a neat bike.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the Huffy Transic 26" Electric Bike this weekend and quickly put it together! The instructions were fairly clear and straight forward. The bike is PACKED with features. It comes with a 3 button display that can be programmed, customized, has locking features. I'm a nerd at heart and this bike is a ton of fun. When you ride you can feel the electric motor kick on. It is a smart system that seems to only use the electric motor when a person is pedaling. I really like the way it is set up.
