Efficient cooking, but difficult to clean cast iron knobs

In regards to the knobs on the cooktop, you can soften any stubborn stains using a hot soapy cloth before cleaning with a solution of mild detergent and hot water. Wipe dry with a microfiber cloth.
For extra shine, use a suitable stainless steel cleaner. Always rub the stainless steel in the direction of the polish lines.
Always read the label to ensure your stainless steel cleaner does not contain chlorine compounds as these are corrosive and may damage the appearance of your cooktop.

the stainless steel surface scratches very easily. It is cheap stainless steel, not high quality considering it’s supposed to be a luxury brand. I have only had it a month. I can’t imagine what this cooktop is going to look like in a year. The flames are uneven, another cheap feature.

This purchase was a replacement gas stovetop for a builder grade product. Not knowing much about the Fisher & Paykel brand, the sales rep raved over its quality simmering capabilities. Indeed, she was telling the truth. A second feature we liked about this design was it having four well spaced burners instead of five cramped. While it would be rare for us using all four burners at the same time, this design would provide spacing that would accommodate moving pots and pans easier.
