I knew I was getting something better than my former cook top but I didn't know how much better. I cook a lot and I do some catering work also and this cook top is right up there with a professional type unit. The flame/heat output is most amazing and I've had to be careful to recalculate my cooking times and become more aware of the output of the unit, it's amazing.
I also enjoy having a strong and level range top surface to slide pans across, something that was missing on my former unit. I'm quite happy from simply boiling water in half the time to being able to control a low simmer for stocks and soups, browning meats and vegetables again in half the time. Wish the gradients on the control knobs were a darker color and easier to read but that's a minor issue compared to the wonderful improvement this unit has provided me.
