Nice design but flawed and some QA issues

Gorgeous design and worth the $ overall however, I bought the 58L rectangular to fit inside an ikea kitchen cabinet with a pull out. Every time* I close the cabinet the sensor is triggered which sets off a cycle of the lid attempting to open, the lid hits the internal roof of the cabinet, rinse and repeat ad nauseum.
So much so that the first time it happened it was left inside the cabinet doing its thing causing slight wear marks on the edge of the impacted areas of the lid. Not to mention, a new set of batteries were needed.
Occasionally I can trick the cycle to stop itself by rolling the bin in and out of its cabinet but it’s far from ideal.
AFAICS there is no warning on the main marketing page about not putting the unit inside a cabinet.
QA issue: the inside edges of lid were crinkled and off-color when it arrived.
The voice command works 75% of the time and the design and overall functionality are great but I cannot be the only person who’s assumed that the motion sensor would only react to a hand gesture and not being slid back inside a kitchen cabinet?

Still do not have my product

My product was delivered damaged. I ordered it on August 6th. Customer service was amazing to work with but unfortunately I still do not have my trash can yet and it’s August 30th. I am super bummed to have spent this much money and still do not have my product.
Hopefully it will arrive soon and I will be able to leave a much better review when I get to try it out.
