Great for day 1...

This is our second Simplehuman trash can for our kitchen. Our first one stopped working a month ago after about 4 years. The new one worked great the first day with voice commands and now it has stopped. It still works with a "hand wave", but voice commands mean nothing. I have gone through all the suggestions and it is still not working.

So far I haven’t been able to enjoy this purchase. I have had this can for 2 weeks. The voice command worked for 1 day, I have tried to reset the can and chatted with the agent but none of the things worked that the agent suggested. I have not heard back from the agent after several attempts to contact him through chat, which is the only way available to respond. I am about ready to box this can up and return it because it cost too much to not be able to respond to voice commands.

We love the automatic open/close

We love the automatic open/close trash can that we purchased. It looks great in our newly remodeled kitchen. The only issue that we have is that it seems that Simply Human designs its cans so that you need to use THEIR liners. You can find others but really have to look for them.

Sleek Looking Garbage Can

Love the look of this. We previously had the Stainless steel one and it got so dirty and it was very noticeable. Even if it got a little dent in it it was easy to see. Eventually it stopped working. It’s nice this can has a 5 year warrenty on it.
I wish they sold refills for the scent pods but other than that I love this can.
