We llove the trash can. I didn't think I would use the voice action, but it is useful. I like the trash bag holder, but do miss having the charcoal holder I would purchase again.

I read the Wirecutter review and then bought this as a present for my son’s family. Initially they scratched their heads over this as a present, but weeks later the whole family raved over how much they all like the hands-free use and how much easier the bag change was.

The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t always open with the voice command. And it should for how much money it costs

Our voice and motion sensor can is designed to open each time you say "open can" or when something within 6" to 8" passes over the sensor. We have reached out to this customer to learn more about what they are experiencing and assist them with it.

Easy to use

I love the motion sensor part; don't like the voice activated as it is way too sensitive. Too bad voice activation can't be turned off if desired.

Our voice and motion sensor can is designed to open when you say "open can" or when something within 6" to 8" passes over the sensor. Conversational phrases and especially background noise from TV's or other devices are similar to the command and their sound waves may trigger the can and open it. This is totally normal and will not negatively effect or wear out the can.

Love the can.....but

The can is great. Holds much more than you’d anticipate. Operation is quiet. Looks great, but the lid never closes correctly. The right side is always slightly up. Not sure if the closing mechanism needs to be adjusted.

It is very attractive and easy to wipe clean. The voice command is helpful when you do not want to drip something on the floor.
The voice command goes off even when you do NOT say "open can". Just from conversation near by.
Simply Human I really wish there was a choice to have that sensor on either end as well as the front of the can. It would avoid all the times it opens when you simply walk by.
