Our old automatic can (different brand) had a weak lid mechanism that snapped and also opened every time we walked past it. This does not get set off by human or canine traffic :)
Also nice to have a larger can, nice wide opening, flip up lid to change the bag, bag storage...bells and whistles I never thought I needed but it's fantastic.
Ultimately this was worth the rather hefty price tag. 10/10

The trashcan lid will randomly open sometimes without anyone saying the command "Open can."
