I love how roomy this trash can is. It’s also got an attractive shape and finish. The automatic control is convenient, but the voice control sometimes activates an opening when I didn’t say open.

One major flaw

I love this can in every way EXCEPT it goes through batteries super fast, and as a power outlet is inconveniently placed near the bin, using the wall wart is a non-starter. But the larger issue is that we should be able to optionally disable its always-on listening for the voice commands, because that constant listening is def what’s making the can go through batteries so fast. My old can (which just had the hand sensor) used to go through batteries only once every six months or so. And it only had four batteries not six. So I know the difference. I’m very disappointed that the voice feature is not optional
