Never thought I'll love a trash can....

If you think you can't love a trash can, buy this one. It is uniquely awesome. I am having so much fun with it. It is sleek, clean and modern. A little pricey, but as I get older I need smart things around me. This trash can listens when I speak to it. It's worth it!!!!!!

Doesn’t Close All The Way

For some reason when the lid closes it leaves roughly a one inch gap and won’t close all the way. It worked fine for about a month and now it just won’t close at all. It’s a cool product otherwise and I like the functions and size of it which is why I gave a three star. But, with it not closing all the way and sealing up, garbage smells and possibility of pests getting inside are of concern to me. Maybe I got a lemon.

I love the automatic lid!

I am so glad I decided to purchase the automatic lid feature. I moved my other SH can to the bathroom. The older model with the foot pedal was okay but the can would move up against the wall from having to step on the lid pedal every time to dispose of garbage. Now with the automatic lid unit, the can stays in place. I also like the ability to say “open can” from 5 feet away and toss the items into the can.
I hope the motor that lifts the lid is durable to last a lifetime. If it quits working, then the can is useless.

I have 3 of these can's, the bronze one (no longer works), the white one (Its beautiful), and I bought this one for my 85 year old grandmother.
She fusses at the trashcan and its so cute.

It's a nice trash reticle but it's a bit small. When I purchased it I thought it would be larger than my current bin because they displayed the size I'm liters, not gallons.
It is easy to remove a full trash bag and replace it with a fresh one. Much easier than the one it replaced.
I find myself rarely using the "open lid' or "close I'd" Much of the time it doesn't respond so I just walk up and open it the old-fashioned way.
It's nice but considering the price I paid I feel it should be larger and the features be much more responsive.
