So far so good! I only wish our kitchen had an outlet where we keep our trashcan so we could utilize the plug. Other than that we love how it looks, how quiet it is and most importantly keeps the dogs out of the trash. Works like a dream.

Love everything except getting bag out

I love this trash can, but there is one major missing design component, something to step on to keep the trashcan stable while removing a full bag with two hands. Without this feature, most times getting the bag out is a challenge, unless you're one of those people who can pull the bag out with one hand, while holding the trash can down with the other. I am not one of those people. Usually the trash can lifts off the floor while I shake the full bag to loosen its grip on the inside of the can. I imagine I could fill the can half full to reduce this problem, but as expensive as this trash can was, why should I have to? Hopefully future models remediate this flaw.

This is my second garbage can from simplehuman. This is great quality and the voice activated is nice when your hands are full! Looks sleek and nice and big for my family of 5!

Love My New Trash Butler!

This trash can is almost worth the $$$ but be careful not to cover the microphone with the bag. They put the mic in the dumbest place and if you fold the bag over you'll cover the mic and the butler won't hear you.
I love that there's no container inside. That's probably the best part. They made it so difficult to clean.
Lastly the bags that they give you are so much better than any other bag you get at the grocery store. They're super durable. I bought 2 cases. This is a definite must have trash can.

You never know how handy the voice sensor is until you get one for yourself. The door always opens all the way, unlike its predecessor. Also, having a place to store the bags inside the can is very convenient.

Best trash can I have ever purchased! It is very sleek looking, love the sensor to open as well as the voice commands! Great size for kitchen and holds good amount of trash, no odors from it! Highly recommend!!
