Seems to be delayed even though it is plugged in. It also does not recognize my voice from time to time. Just recently did it start making a strange sound when it closes. It’s becoming annoying to hear and I’ve only had it for about a month. Wondering if this was worth the purchase.

Perfect trash can

I love this trash can. This is my second purchase of this item. Have had my first can for about 2 years so purchased second can for my townhome where I work. Tried the container store motion can and after 3 months lid would not open fully even after changing out two sets of batteries. The container store motion can only had motion option where as this can has motion and voice activation. After 2 years the voice activation works perfectly. So, returned container store can and replaced it with this can. I love cooking so the voice activation is great . Also, I love that I can also lift the lid up to stay open if I have a lot of trash to dispose of. The outside finish has lasted and still looks perfect. Easy to keep clean . Well worth the price. I just purchased the second can, so that alone should say it all.
