Love ❤️ my new trash can. Easy to use..with either the voice commands or the sensor. Much larger then my older trash can, so less trips to remove the trash. Less mess in kitchen...because of the ease of use of opening the trash can...so glad I made this purchase!

Short review:
Haven’t had very long but so far great can. Expensive and the liners are expensive. I probably would buy again but would think twice because of the liners. If the liners had a cheaper alternative, I would give this can a 7/5 stars.

Long Review:
We haven’t had it very long so I can’t comment on the long term durability but so far it is awesome. We bought this one to replace a previous sensor trash can.
We haven’t had it very long so I can’t comment on the long term durability but so far it is awesome. We bought this one to replace a previous sensor trash can.
Pros:
-Holds more trash than our previous can but takes up less space. It is clearly a more efficient design in every sense.
-comes with an optional plug instead of just batteries for the sensor and I think that is great (probably my favorite feature). Now, I don’t have to worry about replacing batteries every few months or less.
-the speech to open works well (almost too well). Especially when you have cracked eggs or your hands are full of trash.
-the liners are strong and fit very well. Easy to replace the lingers once you push the cover ALL the way back (I didn’t realize that at first)
-Holds more trash than our previous can but takes up less space. It is clearly a more efficient design in every sense.

- IMPORTANT: the liner size is fairly unique. There are very few aftermarket producers of the trash bags that size, that fit nicely. Simplehuman is basically the only place you can get replacement liners and of course, they are pricey. I wish I had known this prior to buying. I would have considered that before I made my decision.
- not really a con but sometimes the lid will open randomly when speaking. This may cause issues for some if you have small children or a curious pet etc...
