It looks good. Functions Ok.

I love the way it looks (extra start). However, the “open can” works 50% of the time, even in a quite setting. About 1week from usage, the can began making like a creepy door sound every time it opened. I would expect more from a top quality trash can.

Works well / looks great ...but voice sensor can be better

We recently moved to our home and got the 58 L rectangular motion and voice sensor trash can for our kitchen area . Looks great ... love the stainless steel finish and “ no touch “ motion sensored feature . This model has both plug in and battery operated ... both work well .
Only downside is the voice sensor ... it’s too sensitive . The lid opens and shuts on its own even when someone is talking within 2 feet radius . Looks creepy at night ... as during dinner time ; when the whole family is talking , the lid keeps opening every two minutes .This also drains the battery ( if you are using battery mode ). I guess Simply Human as a company is new to getting a product with voice command , so they need to re-engineer it for future . Took away two stars only for that ... rest all is great !

When we pass from the kitchen to the living room area, the lid opens. When we move within 2 feet of the trashcan the lid opens, when we sneeze the lid opens. The lid is so sensitive it opens ALL the time. I wish there was just a “voice only” option so we could use that on demand. We have to return and get the manual option.

I love this can.. you don't have to touch it to open it. You can tell it to open, to close, to say open or you can just walk up to it and it opens. Very convenient trash can. I use the outlet because i dont have to worry about changing batteries. It does sometimes open when the tv is loud but its no problem at all. It closes right back.

Only complaint is that I have to ask it a second or third time to open it’s mouth so I can feed it. This isn’t all the time but enough to cost it that 5th star that it could have with more cooperation.
The bags get 5 stars, they’re so nice I hate to put trash in them so I wash it first.

This trash can is awesome and the bags being right there is game changing convenience. The only down side is that the can opens occasionally just from casual talk in the kitchen so words that may sound close to a command will trigger the can to open. It just needs a little higher intelligence like Siri or Bixby.
