Even better!

We had an older Simplehuman sensor trash can for many years that finally wore out. We bought this new version and love it even more! We love how quiet it is and the voice command is a fun feature (especially for the grandkids!). The rectangular shape fits beautifully and seems to hold more trash! The only negative is that it seems to randomly open and close occasionally even when there’s no one around.

Almost perfect

This current can is a replacement (under warranty) of our first purchase of this item. We loved the first one. Unfortunately, the apparatus that holds the package of Q bags began separating from the trash can and would catch, and sometimes tear, the used bag when you tried to remove it. It was replaced under warranty which was wonderful. The new one is good also - except the issue now is that the "open can" command does not work as well as it did on the first one. I love this option as it keeps me from having to touch anything when my hands are full of onion skins and the like from food preparation. Also, I have some disabilities involving limited mobility so it saves me from always having to walk completely across the kitchen to use it. I certainly wish the command worked as easily on this 2nd can. We've found we have to say "open can" 2 to 3 times to get it to work.

Lid is out of control

I’ve already returned one and now if you play tv it opens and closes throughout the day... and needless to say, garbage stinks so it’s an unwelcomed event. Wish I could deactivate voice control but it’s a lot of $$ for reg garbage can.

Great size, sleek design.

Love this trash can. It’s compact, yet has a nice opening and fits a lot, reducing the frequency you have to empty it. It is odor blocking— so if something starts to get smelly, you can only smell it when the lid is open. Love the sleek design as well. Not only is the voice activation so convenient when your hands are full, it is a crowd pleaser! It makes my kitchen look modern and goes so beautifully with all the updates. Thanks Simple Human!
