truly enjoy this trash can. however, broke down on us, stop going up and down normally. it developed a mind of its own to close lid and open. called Simplehuman, customer service was very nice in replacing item. Had it less than a year. hope this one will last more than a year especially since warranty will not be valid on this replacement.

All of our products are backed by a warranty based on the original date of purchase and we stand behind them 100%. Any replacements or warranty claims do not void the warranty. All products are covered for the longevity of their warranty based on the original date of purchase.

I love my new trash can. The ordering process was fast and easy. I still have it a 5 out of 5 stars even though I wish it still have the charcoal filter like my old one did.

The design is so well the size is only noticed when the trash bag is removed. It response quickly to verbal "open can". The sensor is very responsive..

I purchased this sensor can with voice control and every one that comes to our house loves this product. Recently I had an issue with the product and the sensor wouldn't open the can. Soon as I called customer support they were able to replace the product free of charge. Love this product and the customer service is spectacular.
I am giving a 3 star cause the sensor stopped working just before the warranty expired and I expect this to last a lot longer. Anyway still an awesome product.

Very quiet operation

I had two other Simple Human motion activated garbage can and liked them very much. When one of them stopped working, I bought two new cans, one for recycling and the other for garbage. The new ones are so much quieter than the old ones and that's great. I'm just getting used to the bag usage-no pail inside- as opposed to the pail so I don't know which I like better.

Buggy Product!

I really like the size of this can and the color. BUT, the chrome doesn't go with the black stainless steel. I would have preferred if it was satin/matte. I also find this too buggy. It randomly opens even with different tones and words. Localization would be nice. It should open in different languages. Definitely room for improvement, but a good start.

Our voice and motion sensor can is designed to open when you say "open can" or when something within 6" to 8" passes over the sensor. Conversational phrases and especially background noise from TV's or other devices are similar to the command and their sound waves may trigger the can and open it. This is totally normal and will not negatively effect or wear out the can.
