This trash can is very nice looking and perfect size. At first I thought I was going overboard but so worth the buy. So helpful when your hands are full.

Large can, inadequate function

I originally had an itouchless garbage can that someone recently broke on me. I decided to look for a much larger can which I have found in my SimpleHuman 58L can. Aside from the size, I’m pretty disappointed in a few other attributes. The can will randomly open with no prompt. It constantly opens from my dog walking by which I read it’s supposed to start learning actions. While watching tv, I heard it open for no apparent reason.
I give 3 stars because:
1) I like the widened censor when the can is open. This is something I did not have on the last can which was a giant pain.
2) The size of the can gets a star and a half. It’s been extremely convenient
3) Storage for garbage cans and the AC Power Supply being included round out my rating

This product loses 2 stars because there is not a filtering mechanism. Since the can constantly opens, the odor releases in the kitchen too often. Randomly opening is also not a very favorable function.

Nice but doesn’t shut when asked...

This opens with voice commands but after day 1 or 2, it no longer closes on command. Very expensive trash can and unfortunately already not working as expected.

Addresses all the problems with competitors, well built, great design. Only thing I would change is to allow adjustment of motion sensor to make it more or less sensitive

Love this can. The only complaint is that it opens when it doesn't need to. My dog will stand close to it and it opens. Everything else is great.

Good but fragile.

The can works great. But, it is not very tough. The lid formed a dent after a wooden spoon fell off the end of the counter and on top of it. I had to move the trash can so it wouldn't happen again. I REALLY wish I could have a do over.

I just got this simple human trash can and was so excited. Few weeks later it stops working both the voice sensor and the motion sensor. I am starting to have feeling they sent me a refurbished trash.
