This Can is a Dud

I hate that I am writing this review, but this can really is a strike out. While it looks nice, that's about the only pro I can report. The voice activation is so glitchy..about 50% of the time the can will open when I say "open can." The other 50%, it just won't open at all, so I have to use the motion of my hand. annoyingly, the trash can lid is constantly opening when nobody says a word or is close to it at all. Frequently, the lid will open without being prompted when my husband and I are in the dining room (completely separate room but there is wide doorway that we can see into the kitchen). This trash can is so glitchy, I just want my old Simplehuman step can back. Additionally, the lid doesn't close flush all the time--it just kind of stays open about 1.5" (even when the can is completely empty). We are so disappointed.

First, I must say, the story behind Simplehuman is truly amazing. I enjoy the chic look, the quality, and the intent to lessen germs & bacteria. Once I begin my family I will surely be purchasing more product from this company. It’s on the expensive side but very much worth every penny.

Sleek and a Game Changer

I love this trash can - odd to say, but true. It looks great and has good capacity, but it’s having a hands-free experience that’s a game changer. Voice activation and sensors work great on the battery mode. Can’t believe I lived without this - never intend to do so again.
