Opens without command

This is a replacement unit. First one opened without command often. This one does the same occasionally.

Our voice and motion sensor can is designed to open when you say "open can" or when something within 6" to 8" passes over the sensor. Conversational phrases and especially background noise from TV's or other devices are similar to the command and their sound waves may trigger the can and open it. This is totally normal and will not negatively effect or wear out the can.

great gift for the kitchen

Best Trash Can Ever

I had the older model but this one takes the cake I love the voice activation key command. My kid love saying the command and messing with the can like it’s a big new toy. Beside that, it put everything together in my house. Thank you Simple Human I love your products.

Great Concept

I have contacted them three times since it stopped working pretty much right away, they have worked with me & this last time they sent me a new one. Hopefully my 1st one was just no good and this one hopefully will stay working. If it does I’d rate it a “5” .

Sleek But Missing Adapter

I ordered this product because this brand never fails to deliver on quality and aesthetics. Pretty can but the voice control feature picks up on background/tv noise and will open too frequently. Also, the package did not come with a power adapter like it states in the description below so I am forced to have to use batteries which is fine but I’d prefer to plug it in.

The can's adapter is included in the packaging tucked inside of the lid protector. We have reached out to this customer to assist them.
