Love but defected

I love my simplehuman products I have them throughout my home. Decided to purchase this trash can. I really love it although it has a defect. When the lid closes the front part on one side is still up a little.

If the lid isn't not closing evenly, simply reset it with the following steps:
1. Disconnect the power source (ensure that the can is not plugged in and that any batteries have been removed)
2. Hold the lid down so that it is fully closed and connect one power source (batteries or power adapter) and then release the lid
3. Trigger the can via the motion sensor
4. Allow the can to fully open and close without any interruption

Our entire family loves this trash can. It’s so easy to use, No touching the can to open the lid and our daughter loves using the voice command.

Works flawlessly. Easy to install and operate. Would recommend highly.
Trash bags are priced exorbitantly. I would rather use garden grass black trash bags.

Love the Voice Activation

We recently replaced our round sensor can. This was the best decision. The cans voice detection is more responsive than the sensor. I like the ability to directly plug in the can.... no more replacing batteries. The can holds more trash as well. The regular glad trash bags are snug around the rim of this can. It is best to use the simple human liners but they are more expensive price per unit. Overall, I recommend you pick this cam over any other.

We really love this product. Tried couple of other trash cans but they stopped working in just few months.. simplehuman trash can that we ordered more than an year ago still looks new, shiny and working perfectly. Really a great product and must to have. Thanks to simplehuman for this great product.

3 simple commands amplify the functionality

I really like how quiet this lid mechanism is and how responsive the sensor is but also smart enough to know the difference between just walking by it or actually intending to throw something away. For carefully timed 3 pointers from a few yards away I can softly yell open can with the lid opening just in time to catch my junk mail. On the rare occasions that I miss just say stay open and have as many retries as you like. After a short time the lid will close by itself or you can say the close can command. Brilliant, fun and functional - who knew I would appreciate a garbage can more than any other kitchen gadget.
I use batteries for the wireless experience but it makes more sense to use the included plug in adapter to save the cost of replacing them every couple of months.

Overall built and product quality is good.However the voice command is up to the mark and also the lid suddenly keeps opening even when no command is passed which something is edited
