As I guessed, its well-made and sturdy. Bulkier than I anticipated but that’s okay.
Only one issue: wine glasses (in the wine rack dryer) are vulnerable to breakage if dishes aren’t stacked correctly. Maybe the wine rack could be placed to the side or have additional protection. Just saying ...

Holds a lot more dishes than expected

Well designed. I switched from a traditional Rubbermaid large style to SH. It does a good job of keeping water off counter. I particularly like the wine glasses holder; when it isn’t holding glasses, it is a great place to hang dish rag. Dishes take a lot longer to dry in SH than my old Rubbermaid drainer. I would love a version that combines SH design with more open sides for air flow. The huge utensil holder is convenient but again, the closed sides mean I still have to hand dry flatware. The botton “grate” is well designed for holding cookare and bowls at angle to facilitate drying and safety of not breaking fragile items.

Design Improvements Work!!

The redesigned dishrack is a solid improvement from the prior model. The house has used this model since 2011 with several exchanges and returns because of design flaws, however, with the robust design of this model, I can see this dishrack lasting for several years!

I cannot believe I am writing a review for a dish rack, of all things. However, this is, by far, the absolute best dish drainer I have ever owned. Not having a dishwasher and entertain often, this rack has made dishwashing so much easier. The best part? The draining system. Brilliant. Granted, a bit expensive, but worth every penny. I love this thing!

Best Dish Rack Ever

We are completely thrilled with our new steel frame dish rack. This product is well worth the price for many reasons. It is attractive and sturdy. We currently have a heavy 11 quart stainless stock pot, a cutting board, and several other pieces comfortably fitting in the main section of the rack. We also agree with other reviewers that the adjustable water drain spout is well designed. We highly recommend this product from simplehuman.
