We have a medium lawn with thin grass (I don't know what it is called). We planted this grass last Sep. for easy maintenance. Now May, the first cut was difficult and it took a long time to cut, we were going to give up. We had long grass with a lot of weed, we cut the grass high. Then we cut it a second time right after the first cut, but this time shorter. It was much easier and faster. We have decided to keep it and we love it!!! We love the fact that we'll never run out of gas and it is not noisy.
Pros: Adjustable Cut-Lengths, Lightweight, Easy to Push & Steer, Ergonomic Grips
Cons: Narrow Areas Of Grass

Years old, much used and never sharpened. Still works the same. Best for short to medium short grass. Hard work if medium high grass.

Had been lreading about reel mowers for over a year. When I saw the price on this one I couldn't resist. I use it to mow a medium-size yard and it actually takes me less time than it did with a power mower. The only negatives are it doesn't fo so well on hills and the occasional tall weed but I knew this before buying

Good Product!

Bought for my 6,000 sqft lawn that I had overseeded, didn't want landscapers to butcher the seedlings.
This thing works! And since it is a reel mower it cuts the grass with a scissor cut which is better for the grass. Ended up not using the bagger.
The Technician Assembler's review is spot on, this product is good. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Be prepared to tighten bolts periodically when wheels loosen. I keep mine clean and oiled to deter rusting. Just don't expect a conventional mower, this is the way lawns used to be mowed. Doesn't take any longer than when I used a gasoline mower, but it's a lot quieter.
BTW, it doesn't like debris in the lawn, so I fashioned a bag to the handle to pick up the odd twig here and there.

Like the mower, but major flaw!

I like this mower, but in just over two seasons the lower handle broke at the bottom where it connects to the mower section; the bottom part of the handle is way too thin causing it to band when turning the mower to go the opposite way. They need to build this with at a higher gauge metal or a piece to reinforce it. A new mower should last more than 2 seasons!
