It's a good product except that when I put the height adjustment above 2.68 the front wheel rub and don't turn.

Got this unit on end-of-Summer Clearance. Store assembled so cannot comment on that process, but it looks pretty easy. This is a tough little machine and I like its sturdiness, with the metal deck and good quality plastic parts. I am using it on really tough and uneven ground full of grass, moss, weeds and wildflowers. If it can handle that, it can handle anything! I like that I can fold the handle down for storage.
My 1st mower arrived with a bent/defective wheel so I was sent a brand new one. I LOVE my mower....have used a electric mower in the past BUT this new one is AWESOME. I picked this because of the size of the bagger. My main use is to collect & bag my leaves before winter and what little I got to use it was a god send!! I use it on my whole yard to just mow also. I would recommend this mower to all!
This is a great working mower.. I got old, tired of pulling the rope and working on my old gas mower. Very light and easy to use, Starts every time without effort.. Does a good job. 1 slight problem.. does not go low enough with the wheel settings.I am going to try and make a change (HACK) to the adjuster to fix this. if not it is still fine.

Great Mower and Great Customer Service !

I love this 408E Pro. It is perfect for the size of yard I have. I did buy a thicker heavy duty extension cable (which was recommended). I had an issue with the mower and customer service was excellent. Nice to talk with a real person and someone knowledgeable about the product. I'll never use a gas mower again.

Not much draw, and now dead

I wanted to love this mower; I love the brand. I was surprised at how much higher it mowed than any other corded mower I've previously had, and at how little "draw" it had for leaves and other small debris. It sufficed but didn't seem as thorough. My lot is under half an acre, and it's in New England so 4-5 months have no mowing. This mower then died, and I filed a warranty claim, but they'll only replace with the same model (which has been out of stock for 8 months and counting) or with site credit (but literally ALL corded mowers remain out of stock). Guess I'll be going back to B&D.
The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is a problem I've had with other mowers (and it could be the way I use it).
The square part of the assembly that you can see is made of metal, but it fits inside a plastic holder. The electric lawnmowers I've used have all had the metal cut into the plastic clockwise (in order to tighten).
I've tried to clear everything out of my yard, but occasionally I still hit things that are buried below the grass height. Maybe I shouldn't tighten the blade so much when I attach it. This can cause wobbling in the blade.
I don't know if there's anything I can do about it, but I'd love to hear back from the manufacturer.
