Very hard to set up

The product failed after a firmware update

I bought the product at Costco last Oct. 2020. I have a 1Gb speed plan from Xfinity and it worked well. I was getting around 957Mbs but when the firmware update arrived mid July 2021 the product failed. It went down to 600Mbps. The Xfinity XB7 modem speed was 1200Mbps via Xfinity app but only getting 600Mbps output to the ORBI system. I changed the CAT5e cable to CAT8 so I thought it would work but it did not. The Xfinity modem is on bridge mode and my ORBI is the only device plugged in. I tried calling the Netgear support but they want me to pay for extended support. Why would I pay for a defect product? I lost on faith in you Netgear
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Orbi solved our WiFi issues…

Our cable modem is on the top floor of a three-level home. We’ve traditionally had very poor WiFi in the basement, even with multiple range extenders. With the Orbi router on the top floor, and two satellites on the first floor at opposite ends of our L-shaped house, the basement now has a full-signal, full-speed connectivity to all 10 WiFi devices placed there. Our home is about 4700 sq ft. Very impressed.
