Perfect to have in the toolshed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a winter freeze here in Texas, and it killed a lot of our trees in the yard - mostly citrus trees. The trees survived heat and freezing weather for 10 years until 2021, when our area had the worst freeze weather. I have been sawing off branch after branch, little by little on weekends, now, I need to deal with the trunks. Having this cordless chainsaw help in making the work easy. Without cords, moving around the trees - I do not have to deal with detangling cords or having to find 100ft of electrical power extensions. The chainsaw is well built. It took me some time to get my "courage" to carry and use the chainsaw, but in the end, there's nothing to fear. Okay, citrus trees and crepe myrtles don't have that much think branches/trunks, but this is much easier and faster using a hand saw or branch clipper.

Easy to use and gets job done.

I use it to cut scraps of wood and dogwood and it goes through them pretty well. The battery life is decent as long as you don't charge it overnight. Overall, great chain saw.

Almost, but not quite

The chainsaw stops quite often requiring me to remove battery and reconnected it. This is the 2nd one I had as my first did this too until it would not start up anymore.

great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a few days ago the Sun Joe 24V-10CS 24-Volt iON+ Cordless Chanin Saq Kit, 10-Inch with 4.0 Ah Battery and Charger and I love it.
The timing to get the chainsaw was perfect because I had oak tree branches to cut and also a lot of branches in the green belt going into our backyard.
The chainsaw is very easy to bring-up, just charge the battery, plug it, fill the oil chain reservoir, remove the security and go. This is very easy and it will not fail to start on the contrary of a gas chainsaw. All is included in the package, the chainsaw of course, the charger, the battery, the key for the chain. The only thing not provided is the oil chain, it would be awesome if Sun Joe could add a small bag of oil.
The 10-inch length may seem too small but it turns out that most of the branches are smaller than 10 inches. I live in Central Texas, we do not have very big trees.
The chain saw may feel like a toy because it is battery powered and runs without noise but do be careful it is a "real" chainsaw, it cuts just the same without the gas inconveniences.
The last thing concerns the battery, it lasted about 1 hour using it almost all the time, which in my opinion is great for a cordless chainsaw. If you plan to use it more then you need to get another battery ready.
In conclusion, I recommend the Sun Joe cordless chainsaw, you will not be disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice chainsaw! I love that it’s battery operated and now I plan on buying more sunjoe products to go with the battery! We live in a wooded area in Tennessee so I was able to cut a bunch of limbs that would get in my mowing way. I also have a mature weeping cherry tree that this works perfect on to trim so of the limbs up on. I wouldn’t recommend this for big trees but perfect for what I need!

Good for smaller jobs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good tool for smaller jobs around the property - cutting things like branches and smaller limbs from trees. The charger actually charged pretty fast, but I wish the battery lasted a little bit longer than it did. Make sure that you have oil on-hand to set the chainsaw up. A nice compact option, I would recommend getting a secondary battery for bigger jobs.

Exceeded expectations

I live in a neighborhood that is tucked in the woods and had my doubts that this little fella could do much more than help with some yard bushes but thought I'd take it for a test drive clearing out the path in the forest where some trees (some a good 18 in wide) had fallen. Took a few battery charges but I made it through some big trees with the little saw. Tons of power as long as it it not forced. No overheating, binding or kickback. I couldn't believe how well it worked and the battery lasted a good while and recharged almost as fast as I did. I am telling all the neighbors about this handy little saw and one has already taken me up on it and is as shocked and pleased as I am. Great product.

Sun Joe chain saw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this chainsaw!! It's tiny but packs a punch! I have used this for branches and small trees and it's so fast, easy and very convenient. I haven't used it for any big trees and I'm not sure it could handle it unless you went slow and steady with it.
