Nice feel, no kinks, but has 'issues'

Generally a very quality-feel product. Slinky is a good word to describe it. BUT, the threaded ends are not ideal. The depth of the female-side threads is so shallow that, with the supplied washer, a typical attachment (like a Melnor quick-connect coupler) barely has two threads to hold on. I anticipate breaking my couplers very quickly. The mail end of the hose has a similarly short set of threads. How could this get past the designers?

I love my stainless steel hoses. They are easy to maneuver and never ever kink. They’re quick to wind up on my reel and I have two 50 ft on my reel with no problem and room to spare
I have purchased three, one had to be returned because it leaked at the connector. They don’t keep the water cool in the sun as the advertising says, but that feature is not important to me. I never want to go back to the bendable or bulky again. Thank you!
