This product trims very well and reaches tall shrubs as I hoped. However it is heavy and cumbersome to use. with the switch located on the bottom of the pole it makes it difficult to hold while trying to make precise cuts. After 5-10 min. of use I would have to take a break to rest my arms. It feels more like 15 lb than 8lb. My package did not have a support strap as is shown in the instructions, perhaps because it is a refurbished unit. All said I can now trim my tall bushes without balancing on a ladder. I will use a smaller lighter unit to shape antrim lower areas.

Top heavy. Hard to balance when trying to cut horizontal. Red other reviews and some comments were light weight and easy to use. I wonder what trimmer they were using. Not this one. Takes an awful lot of arm strength to hold. Shoulder strap is useless.

I have a 10' tall cedar hedge lining the back of my property, and I used to trim it with a hand-held trimmer on a ladder. The telescoping hedge trimmer made things SO much easier, faster and safer. It's a little exhausting holding it up to get the top, but still totally worth it.
Product worked very well, no issues, blades are sharp and cut through everything no problem. I'm probably going to save myself 10 hours of hedge trimming a year :)

Trimmer that meets my needs.

Love the trimmer with one exception: The shoulder strap is positioned too far back and does not support the weight as hopped. The fulcrum should be placed further forward to better support the weight of the "business end" of the tool. The tool is heavy headed and needs better support when working overhead.

I was excited to purchase this hedger since I have some tall hedges and usually have to climb a ladder making it unsafe. Upon receiving my order, assembly, while looks simple, took some figuring out. Once I starting to use the hedger, I noticed several things. One, it does not feel like 8.8lbs as advertised. It feels more like 20lbs. Second, the handle is set at the very back of the unit making it top heavy and difficult to control and hold without being worn out after just a short time. The included strap is useless unless you someone of very small stature and again, is set back by the handle that it really doesn't help. Lastly, the cut is ok, I was expecting something better. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in this product and will most likely end up returning it.

If you are a senior, I would not order this! With the motor at the end of the pole instead of at the bottom, physics takes over and you find yourself with the weight of the motor pulling your back. It is just too hard to handle for high hedges unless you are trimming straight up. If you are trimming at any sort of angle, it becomes a hazard for those of us who have seen stronger days.
