I have a large hillside property that needs lots of trimming. This tool and a similar chainsaw have made my life much easier. The trimmer has plenty of torque, so you don't get stuck and the telescoping pole cuts down my ladder time dramatically!

Assembly was somewhat difficult. Then it dawned that I had the handle upside down. After correcting that, the handle snapped into place. The carry strap is awkwardly placed and I found it cumbersome to use. I went to work on my ligustrums and it cuts nicely...BUT...as I noted in another customer's review, this thing is quite heavy at one end. I found myself tiring easily and my arms were burning. No I can't bench press 200lbs but can't you do anything to lighten it? Maybe make the motor with titanium? Aluminum? I'm not sure how the latter would hold up under heat from the motor running. Thank goodness I don't have to trim that often. Sheesh, if I wanted to work out, I'd rejoin the YMCA.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I love this tool. I have only used it once since I purchased it in July. I am about to use it again tomorrow. It's sharp, its user friendly. A little heavy for me because I am short but I use the shoulder strap to help carry the weight.

The trimmer accomplished everything i expected, not only at my permanent home, but we have a vacation home with some vey high hedges where it performed like a charm. Being an electric telescoping pole trimmer, that doesn't use gas, it was easy to transport. No concerns about spills, and having quite a lot of hedges to trim, no batteries to charge is also a big plus. Most of my hedges are deep nearly 5 feet, i breezed thru them with more then adequate power. In fact the only negative is it's a little heavy for me. But I decided to start working out again to eliminate the weight of the trimmer as a drawback.

Cuts well, heavy!

Being wired, it has good amount of power to cut efficiently. Bit heavy to hold extended but i dont use it very often so it's fine. One negative - the ring that the shoulder strap clips to broke on the first day. i'll have to try to get a replacement from the company under warranty. The ring looks like it is designed to come off the pole using a screw driver.

I received this Hedge Trimmer for my birthday this month and it is a wonderful tool that really saves you time and effort when trimming your evergreens, shrubs, etc. I used it to trim back some Burning Bush shrubs that were encroaching into my back yard from my neighbors property and this tool allowed me to do a full trim back on the shrubs in very little time. It allowed me to do all the trimming with my feet on the ground and the reach was great as I got everything trimmed with very little effort. The one thing you have to be sure of is to first read the instructions as you need to apply some light oil to the cutter blades and that is important as it cuts speedily and be sure you have a good grip before powering it on. I am a Senior Citizen and I used the strap in the tool as it helped me balance it real easy while trimming. I really like this as now I do not have to take out a ladder and use me hand trimmers anymore. Great product even if you need to use once a year. It does a great trim job on my Cedar Evergreens too.
