Problem from the Getgo

Unfortunately we have had problems from the time of installation with our downdraft. Sometimes when you turn it on, it comes up but won’t stop in the up position - it just keeps going up and down. The only way to stop it is to unplug it. Service man came out and now it’s stuck in the up position with three parts on order. Hopefully once those parts are replaced it will work as promised.

Luckily, your appliances comes with a limited one-year warranty. This covers any part which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. During this limited one-year warranty, GE Appliances will provide, free of charge, all labor and related service costs to replace the defective part.

Rest assured, you will be able to use your downdraft as expected. We are confident our qualified service technicians will be able to assist you moving forward.

This is a magical device that if you ever had a downdraft stove before, get a new flat cooktop stove and use this in your countertop!!! It's Awesome!!
No more Food parts going into the trough!! This Amazing Module pops up and is so powerful that it will do the job of getting All the odors out of your house!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor quality control

Squirrel-cage fan not attached to motor shaft. After attaching, high-pitched squeal which resolved after running fan for some time.

Perfect match for Kenmore downdraft!

We replaced a Kenmore downdraft that no longer worked. This unit was easy to install in the same location. Instruction manual was easy to follow, including information on how to rotate exhaust fan to meet up with existing ductwork from previous unit.
