Slightly too big to fit any standard lunch box

Haven’t been able to use because it’s slightly too large for every lunch box we own. It is frustrating that it’s not a more standard size like the other bentgo boxes we have. Also, very heavy for my kids compared to other boxes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the box, but am so frustrated that it doesn't fit in any of the 3 different lunch bags that my kids currently own. This was already an expensive purchase and will now be that much more $$ as I need to find more lunchbags.

Good lunch box

My 5 year old has used this for the past month and is able to open and close it with ease. We have not had any leakage. The box itself is slim and fits well in a back up. We did feel that it is slightly on the heavier side for a child to carry around.

Bought this for my young toddler for preschool. I have been searching for a stainless steel option for awhile with no luck and this seems to be the best I’ve found. So glad bentgo started making stainless options! It is Larger and heavier than expected and will not fit inside our current lunchbox (pottery barn kids.) But that’s really the only downside. I would recommend this to anyone trying to get away from all the plastic options!

Bentgo's stainless steel lunch box has been a game changer! I love the size of the spaces in this box as it offers the ability to put a full sandwich or pasta lunch on the left side, fruits and veggies in the other spaces. The soft insert offers diversity too when I want to add additional munchables, yogurt, applesauce or granola that can be mixed with another area during lunch. I wish it was slightly deeper so the lid could close more comfortably with a bakery bagel ( Thomas bagels fit fine), however I still believe this is a five star lunch box. I plan to purchase another for my daughter, when and if our older Bengto lunch box wears out.

A little big and heavy

The first one I got was defective. It was promptly replaced and I truly appreciate the business, hence the 4 rating. The lunch box is in itself quite heavy and bulky and my kids, unfortunately are not keen on using it.

Hinge broke but fantastic customer service

Purchased this about a year ago, and the welding on one of the hinges came apart. We have only ever hand washed this and it doesn't take a lot of abuse so I was surprised that it broke. However, I sent photos to customer service via email and had a replacement coming within an hour under their warranty. Even though expected more of the product itself for the price, it was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had.
Gave it four stars because sometimes the latches are a little finicky to get them to stay closed and they have a tendency to pop back open when you try to clip them closed. This is just slightly annoying but hasn't affected the lunchbox itself staying closed and it has never leaked in my daughter's lunch bag. Juicy foods like watermelon do leak from one compartment in to the other compartment however. The rest of it is perfect and still looks like the day we bought it, even though it is used daily. It is a good size and my daughter loves being able to see all her food and it is easy for a toddler to eat from like a plate. I have recommended this to other parents in my daughter's class and would continue to do so even though it did break.
