we've been using these lunch boxes for our young kids for over a year - they're great. good size, leak proof, easy for even our 3 year old to manage. one of the boxes had a latch come detached and the customer service was excellent - replaced it for us right away. i would definitely recommend this lunch box.

This box is great for my hungry 3 year-old and I’ve had no issues with its functionality. Only problem is that he goes to a Montessori school that puts emphasis on the kids carrying their own lunches into and out of the school and this, plus the ice packs, plus the lunch bag (all bentgo) is too heavy for him to manage on his own (at least without major resistance and complaining) and is causing a bit of an issue. Not something I thought about, so just flagging for anyone who might face a similar issue! Wish bentgo made an insulated backpack that’s just for the lunch box (so smaller than the ones they make) as this box is unfortunately too big for the only ones I’ve been able to find on the market.

Very very poor quality, does not hold up

I was so excited to find a non plastic lunchbox. We have purchased 2 of these for each of one kids (7 and 13). Both were hand washed only. Both have nearly all the paint chipped off from normal back and forth transport to and from school and the back hinge has broken off on one. I will not be purchasing bentgo products in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
