Perhaps better for older children?

We love the stainless steel option, but our 4YO daughter is not able to open and close this box. It’s also quite large and heavy. On the positive side, it does hold a lot of eats, and the removable cup is a nice bonus compartment. Though it says that this Bentgo box is intended for children ages 3 and up, it might be better for older children.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yes, I can use it for the kids, but honestly, I like it too! It's intuitive and easy to wash, and the removable tray is the cherry on top of this sleek lunchbox! We have the other classic Bentgo lunchboxes for daily use, which is what we will likely continue using. In the meantime, this is a good backup and a perfect option for me when I go into the office.

We love the Bentgo steel lunchbox but still in the phase of practicing opening and closing. The box is a bit tight for my 5 year old to open without any adult help. We are hoping that we can loosen it a tiny bit so she can start taking it to school! (Also, we are having hard time finding a cute lunchbag to fit the steel lunchbox. Most cute lunchbags are about an inch too small to fit it)

I have 3 of these bentgo boxes and one of the plastic ones. I love them all! Perfect space and separation. One of the clips on my lunchbox broke not long after I began using it and customer service has responded right away and has been helpful. I appreciate the warranty on these.

Great Stainless Lunch Box

I’ve been using the kids plastic bentgo lunch boxes for the past year and loved them, but wanted to move away from plastic. I purchased five of these stainless steel lunchboxes for my son. I love the compartments and the silicone cup that came with it. The latches seem to work pretty well and my son who is five is able to open them. Sometimes when closing you have to adjust to make sure it lines up correctly. Overall I’m happy with this purchase.
