This is the best lunch box ever, previously we used the same but bigger for 2 school years. The quality is top! My son loves it. We live in California and it's too hot sometimes for carrying sandwiches without ice pack. With this box my son has a healthy and fresh lunch every day. I also paid it with the snacks box. They both perfectly fit a bentgo lunch bag!

I have many Bentgo Chill products, where I pack lunches the evening before, and pop the ice pack in in the morning. I have found with the mini, without the ice pack underneath to hold the food tray in place, the tray will suction to the lid and the lunchbox cannot be opened. The only solution we have found is to use a spoon to break the suction, which is not the easiest to do. If you pack your lunch in the morning, this shouldn't be an issue for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wanted to love this but it just doesn’t work for my daughter. I bought the chill mini and the xl chill but both have the same issues. The tray and ice pack seem to create some sort of suction and it’s almost impossible to get them open. She has commented that if she lets it warm up it seems easier to open but she really doesn’t have the time to wait.
