I purchased two of these and while they are amazing lunch boxes, one of the lunchboxes got a dent in one side and makes it incredibly hard to close.

My (almost) 6 year old is starting kindergarten in a couple of weeks and she adores this bento box. Very easy for her to open and close. Feels very durable so hopefully it will hold up

Mold on the outer box and leakage

I bought a two pack and was really excited to try it, however I’m truly disappointed with it. I started using it for my 7 year old in March and it’s already growing mold and the leakage it’s another solid problem. I had my bentgo kids for two years straight without a problem. I only upgraded as my child grew as well, but without a doubt this was a terrible upgrade. I think it is better to try a different lunchbox and ice pack apart.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good product but grew mold

We bough 2 of the same Bentgo boxes for our daughters to use for school lunches. We loved how much space there was and how durable they were. The girls would drop their lunchboxes several times during the day and these withstood it all. Unfortunately, towards the end of the school year we started to notice some mold growing on the seal of the lid and on the corners of the container itself. We have NEVER washed the lunch boxes in the dishwasher, ALWAYS hand wash and when storing them away we would make sure they were completely dry to not trap any moisture. We stopped using them for health reasons but would still buy the product again, which we did the following school year but THOSE Bentgo boxes unfortunately would stop being able to stay shut about halfway during the school year.

Love the Bentgo lunch boxes and the idea of a built-in ice pack sounded great, but not the most functional to send our toddler to preschool because of its weight. With the ice pack in it, it’s pretty bulky and a bit heavy. Probably perfect for an older child!

Heavy duty if you kids eat a lot might be to small

These lunchboxes are fairly heavy for.their size. Super bummed that I could of had names added to them. Never even saw an option for that.
