I love the concept, but I ended up returning both lunch boxes. Upon opening it, I realized that they were too heavy for my 4 and 6 year olds and would be heavier with the ice pack and food. It didn’t seem ideal unfortunately.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing design and I love that the ice pack is built in. Only small complaint is that it can be a little tricky to separate from the food tray, especially when the food tray is dirty.

Great Lunch Box for Children!

We have been using Bentgo products for years and are excited this chilled version has come out to keep lunches compact and easy for busy lifestyles. Easy to open and close for child’s independence w no need to ask for help.

It’s difficult to get the tray in and out to put the ice pack in. Which is a slight inconvenience and may get easier with time.
The bigger issue is it’s pretty difficult to open and close for my 3 year old. Which leads to spilled and mixed food, defeating the purpose of buying a leak proof option, my 5 year old is capable of closing properly- so definitely possible just difficult for small hands
