So much fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. And am I glad I did. This was not some that I personally gave much thought to. But after getting it set up my wife and kids are having a blast creating with it. It was so easy to set up and they (wife, 2 teenage sons, and even 6 year old daughter) picked it all up very quickly. They have mad tons of stickers and craft projects on it in just a few weeks. Knowing what I know now this machine is top notch. All the features to do many projects and very easy to use. I highly recommend this cutter/scanner!

It's an interesting combination of crafting and technology. This is a great product that I would highly recommend to anyone trying to get into the DIY field.

Quiet, and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product, this ScanNcut cutting machine from Brother is super impressive. Right out of the box it's easy to set up and use, you can even watch videos on YouTube if need be to get you started. It has it's own little storage in the front for the blade and accessories. It has an onscreen editing feature, touchscreen of course, you can use your finger or provided stylus on it. It has a standard tack cutting mat so you won't have to purchase one separately. I personally love the scanning feature, I can easily scan, wirelessly my own drawings and designs to make stickers, and shirts, and other easy to make gifts for friends and family.
You can use the free web CanvasWorkspace app for editing and designing. The auto blade detects the thickness of the material you are using so no need to adjust it manually. I like that to get you started it comes with instructions that are easy to follow, to make a little storage box, great for party favors. I've already made it, and we've made stickers, we are going to be getting more vinyl to make our own personalized tumblers next.

I like how easy it is once I got it figured out..so much fun and neat!! I love it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once I figured out to activate and connect everything, it did exactly what I wanted it for. Cuts any design that I want. I found many images online and just sent them to the cutter and voila, perfect stencil every time! The machine will cut out great, when you get it to scan the area you want to cut. It works best on very simple high contrast items.

I can cut vinyl, felt, foam board, so many different things and can create so many fun projects. It’s easy to use and I love that you can scan different designs and it’ll cut it out for you. Currently working on making my daughter a felt bear. This machine made it so easy since it cut our the felt for me. I love that it comes with over 250 designs, so many fun projects to make. The possibilities are endless!

Excellent Cutting Machine

This is my first cutting machine to own and making projects took some learning, but overall was very simple and painless. Connecting to WiFi and my Canvas Workspace account was easy to do. I love that their software is web based so if you don't have a Mac or Windows system you still get all the features from your phone or tablet through their site. The touch screen is nice to have and responds well to the stylus. You can do your projects straight from the touchscreen with all of the amazing included designs and fonts which is so convenient. The scan option is such a great feature that's easy to use and really makes this machine unique. If you have a picture or phrase you can cut it with this. My only issue was with the Auto Blade because it was cutting all the way through my vinyl and iron on vinyl on Auto settings. I had to manually adjust the cutting pressure to get the correct cut, not a big deal but worth noting. I would recommend always doing a test cut before each final cut to make sure it's correct so you don't waste material. Overall I am really loving this machine and the ability to make cute shirts and other projects for my family. I think this machine is perfect for beginners or advanced crafters. I am so excited to see what all I can create with my Brother machine because now I have honestly found a new hobby that I love.

Life changing !!!

Once you get the machine set up, have a supply of useable materials on hand, and have the mat(s) you need, then the machine becomes really useful. I am a teacher and find this machine very useful in the classroom. Any teacher who has ever felt limited by the selection of die cutters in their workroom will love the dozens of resizable built-in patterns. Also built-in is a type feature which allows you to choose a typeface, type in the desired words, and quickly cut out the letters. The machine is surprisingly lightweight; I can easily see it getting hauled back and forth to sewing clubs, scout meetings, schools, and the like. In spite of the weight, it generally has a nice quality feel to it
