Great size, easy care

I had never used Rachael Ray cookware before trying this 12.5"" deep skillet, but I will definitely consider purchasing more from this line in the future! It's a great size - nice and big and DEEP, love that. It has a nice weight to it - not so heavy you can't lift it once it has food in it (plus it has a great silicone-coated ""helper handle""), but not so light it feels cheap or flimsy. The silicone coated handles are comfortable and not slippery, and don't get overly hot while cooking, which makes it easier to move the pan around. The nonstick coating is very easy to work with - I have made egg scrambles with it with zero sticking. This also makes it easy to clean! I was pleased to see on the label that it is oven-safe to 400F - though I haven't used it in the oven yet to test that feature. I did use it to cook 3-4lbs of ground pork for tacos last night - that's a lot of meat to brown in one pan, and it fit fine and cooked evenly without me accidentally spilling any over the side while stirring because it's so nice and deep! I can see myself reaching for this pan often, and would recommend it to others.

I would buy this again!

I got my RR skillet the other day and read the instructions. They stated not to use nonstick spray in it so I tried to cook an egg in this enormous skillet just to try it out. It stuck but not terribly. So I sprayed so evoo in it and cooked my egg and it was great. I browned 2 lbs of ground beef in it and it was perfect. I love my new skillet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of this pan is AMAZING! I first used it for sunny side up eggs and forgot to put olive oil in the pan well it did not need oil! They did not stick and came off the pan like there was a lot of oil on it! The kids love Mac and cheese I always melt the cheese in a sauce pan but mine was dirty so I grabbed this pan to use and I’m glad I did the cheese did not stick to it and it melted it evenly! I use this pan for everything cleaning it is a breeze I don’t have to scrub it everything cleans off it with a soft wash cloth best pan ever!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful and functional

I love the beautiful blue color, which shimmers when held up to the light. I can see this becoming a favorite cooking tool for me!

Functional & Pretty - the best of both worlds!

This skillet is large enough to easily cook a stir fry for a family of 4 without making a mess. It is sturdy without being heavy, and the light blue shimmer makes it pretty enough to leave on the stove even between meals. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the 12.5" Deep Skillet, Light Blue Shimmer a week or so ago. I instantly fell in love with it. It is very well made, unlike others. The handles have the comfort grip that keeps you from burning your fingers and the best part of the handles is that they are riveted on and aren't held on with screws like most others. The finish on the pan is platinumshield technology enhanced silver nonstick REINFORCED to be 9x's harder then titanium. Also it cleans so easy with no sticking..its a win win! This pan is also induction suitable ,dishwasher safe,oven safe to 400 degrees F/200 C, it aslo comes with a lifetime warranty. Also this is the perfect size pan for making a family meal.I'm really hoping to get the rest of the matching set an the color is awesome. I would 100% recommend this to anyone that is looking in the market for a pan of this style!

Great pan

This is a large, versatile pan which is very user-friendly and easy to take care of - I would recommend it to a friend. The pan is nice and deep, so relatively high-capacity, which is great for our family of five. I have used it for browning meat, cooking eggs and bacon, and sauteing vegetables, all went great with no sticking and easy clean up. The pan seems to distribute heat evenly, and the silicone handle grips keep them from getting too hot to handle. The helper handle on the far side of the pan is especially helpful for moving the pan when it's full and heavy. I was surprised to see that it is oven safe, I guess I forgot silicone is heat resistant to quite a high temperature - it's always nice to have a pan that can transfer from stovetop to oven when a recipe calls for it. Over all a well-made, well-designed pan that functions great.

Great Rachael Ray Skillet, cooks well and is beautiful

I love the Rachael Ray brand and this skillet is wonderful. I needed a skillet bigger than the one I was using and this is just great. Everything cooks evenly in this pan and nothing sticks at all. It cleans up very easy, and I believe that is because nothing is sticking during cooking. I love that my eggs, potatoes and bacon can all be cooked at the same time and nothing burns and everything tastes great. The handle never gets too hot to handle either. I would highly recommend this skillet, and the bonus for me, my kitchen is red and the handles compliment my kitchen..
