I got the 64 oz and truthfully it was perfect for the first couple months but after awhile I noticed leakage. The handle also broke which makes it incredibly hard to carry because of its weight.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this thing! I get a new color every year. Keeps the liquids cold all day long, even without ice. Make sure to wash it like once a week if you use it daily, including the rubber pieces, so it doesn’t get moldy. The little piece on the bottom is nice too, it holds it in place so you can twist open the cap easily.

This is my absolute favorite water bottle. Takeya got it right. The water bottle keeps my water insulated and cold for hours on end. The spout is extremely easy to drink from and is totally leak-proof. Also extremely easy to clean. I take this everywhere - the office, gym, trips, etc. Never leave home without it!

I've been looking for a half gallon stainless steel jug for quite some time now, and after trying a couple 40 oz Takeya bottles, I decided I'd give their 64 oz stainless steel jug a try - and wow! This monster bottle is excellent! The carrying handle is perfectly sized and placed, the exterior powder coating finishing is sleek and comfortable in my hands, and it's not too heavy. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks Takeya!

I have purchased many water bottles over the years, including other pricey competor brands. Takeya Actives is the best water bottle I have found. I travel with one (empty) through airport security, hooked onto my backpack. I lost several Takeya bottles over the years (my fault). I even backed over one while i was camping. It survived the event, dented and scratched, fully functional! This is the brand I purchase as gifts for friends and family. Don't hesitate, just buy one!

These water bottles are the best! Water stays cold for hours and they are leakproof. I've had one for years and it is still in great shape. The only thing I had to do was put new gaskets in - not because they were worn, but because of a little bit of mold.
