This is probably my favorite water bottle I’ve ever owned! The spout is easier to use than my previous wide-mouth water bottles but there seems to be fewer parts that could attract mildew than other water bottle options. The insulation works great and the piece of silicone on the bottom is a really nice touch.

I love this water bottle! I am very fussy about spouts on water bottles and this one is perfect. I love that the cap screws on so there's no chance of the bottle leaking in my bag, and the silicone base is a great idea to prevent marks on surfaces. I'm a customer for life! :)

We love our Takeya bottles. They stay cold for a long time!! They're easily washed and maintained. Both kids say their drinks stay all day at school which they love. The only tip I'd point out is keep an eye out for the plastic rings in the top part. They do get dirty and moldy if you don't clean them well.

So I have this and have always wondered why my cold water doesn't stay cold over night and just figured, I didn't have enough ice, etc. Sometimes, yes, I fill my water bottle, drink half at night and put it on my night stand - then the next morning, I am a bit surprised that it wasn't still cold. Then, there was a review today about the best water bottles of 2021 and they rated this water bottle so low - and the reason - the poor thermodynamic performance of the water bottle - and now I know - it's not me - it's the water bottle. I think I am beyond the return period to change to one of the more recommended bottles, but I would be cautious with this purchase - short term, great and the lid is fantastic, but it won't keep things cold overnight (I didn't even try hot).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
