Only had this bottle for a week and few days and the lid already smells. I love that it’s 40oz but I think I’m going to stick to my yeti cups.

We are sorry that your lid smells. This is the result of it getting dirty. We recommend cleaning your bottle and lid once per day to ensure that it remains mold and germ free.
We recommend that you hand wash your bottle with hot water and a non-abrasive dish soap. For a deep cleaning, we suggest cleaning the Lid O-Rings with a 50/50 solution of water and vinegar. Do not use cleansers with harsh chemicals like bleach or chlorine as they can ruin your bottle. Occasionally, remove the silicone o-rings in your bottle cap and clean those as well.
Note: After cleaning, make sure that all parts are completely dry before reassembling.
However, all of our lids are top rack dishwasher safe and we encourage you to wash them that way especially if you drink something other than water to keep them mold and germ free.

My 24oz. Takeya Active has everything I want in a water container for the gym. The liquid stays cool for hours. The lid is easy to use and stays out of the way when I’m drinking. The size is perfect for the cup holders on the treadmills and my truck.

I was hesitant on purchasing the 40oz bottle due to the large size. Yes, it doesn’t fit well in my purse/car when I travel. However, with quarantine I’m not going anywhere and drinking 3 of these a day (per MD’s orders) is a breeze! It is easier to track than from my 24 oz bottles.

Unlike other similar bottles, the threads are all internal so the drinking spout is smooth. Also the seals all have a tab you can use to remove and clean them should you need to. We are really enjoying ours. If they come out with a purple one, my wife will get another one.
