Disclaimer: I upgraded to this laptop from a dying one, so take this review with a grain of salt.
My immediate test for the G17 3070 was a quick and dirty Resolve timeline edit with four layers. Micro-stutters at 4k60. Also did a Ableton sound mix test at 192K @ 1024 buffer, no clipping that I can hear. So, afaict, it's at least baseline good for productivity. I haven't pushed it on gaming, though. Just some basic LoL and TFT.
The real test is consistency and longevity, imo.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What a powerhouse

I bought this laptop because I needed a WQHD screen for work and the quickest processor I could find. This laptop was the perfect combination of it all, great battery life, beautiful and bright display, and the processing power to plough through anything. All that and it's still upgradable.

I purchased this today in order to meet my needs for games today. The GPU 3070 and AMD Ryzen processor is running all my games in library at max settings woth great frame. And the laptop is extremely quiet....doesn't get to hot either. ASUS never disappoints, I am highly satisfied.

I replaced my previous Laptop with this model, Similar specs but My new Asus is MUCH Faster and performs leaps and bounds over my previous without any modification out of the box! Everything about this product feels more premium to me, absolutely no complaints and I will Definitely be buying Asus for My Laptops from now on! (P.S. My wife now has one too, Loved it so much we became Twinsies!)
Never had it get loud, even when playing Elden Ring for several Hours, Keyboard is so spacious that I do not feel like I need to use a secondary keyboard for typing or doing my job, I can type just as fast on it as I can a regular keyboard and I love the feel, I am use to being a bit cramped with other laptops.
Can't Beat a 1 year Accidental Damage Warranty that's included!

The most amazing laptop on the planet

The thing about buying Asus gaming laptops, is they last and work forever. My previous one from 2013 is still operational and in use.
This laptop has amazing 2K screen, the most powerful laptop CPU on Earth (Ryzen 59000XH), and looks very snazzy.
The keyboard is the best I have ever typed on, and in this I am including my mechanical keyboards on my desktop computers. The mousepad is oversized, very smooth and responsive, and integrates the mouse buttons which are invisible, part of the mouse pad.
The overall design is very amazing, and the laptop makes ZERO noise. This is very important to me. Disclaimer: I don't game, so I don't know how noisy would the fan be while playing a game.
For a 17.3" laptop, it is not heavy at all. I can't think of one single negative thing I can say about this laptop. I am so happy that I bought it and I can't get enough of it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
