Perfectly toasted Bagels!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Hamilton Beach Classic 2 Slice Toaster from Hamilton Beach to review it. Both my husband & I love bagels & this was the feature we were both the most excited about. It toasts the bagel perfectly & it doesn't get hard like it can with a regular toaster. As my husband says, it's toasty on the outside, yet soft on the inside. I also like that it will toast 1 slice of bread perfectly on both sides. We were a little confused at first about the inner coils turning off, but after trying 1 slice, we understand why, it keeps the toast from over browning. It also has a defrost button to use when you want to defrost frozen waffles.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great toaster with so many options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great toaster. It has option of 1 slice or 2. Toast is cooked perfectly by setting the dial to how toasted you would like. My favorite feature is being able to get smaller items out by lifting it higher. Another unique function is the defrost setting. We stock up on bread and freeze so this helps when you forst to take a loaf out but want a sandwich.

Great toaster.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I desperately needed a new toster. My old one burned my toast even in the lowest setting. This one does a perfect job. I love that it has a setting for bagles and for only one slice of bread since i often only toast one. Gives me perfect toastes bread and bagles. The decine is nice and it doesnt take up too much space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster was ready to go right out of the box but I should have read the instruction first. I've had many toasters in my 59 years of marriage and this is the first one that required flipping a bagel so the cut side faces out. I actually use the bagel setting for toasting buns so missing that important step resulted in overcooked outsides and just warm on the cut sides. I use the bagel setting daily and I still have to consciously insert the the bun correctly. This toaster also advertises "wide slots". I wish they were a little wider because I have to smash the top of the bun to get it in otherwise the top doesn't toast. On the positive side, it is an attractive appliance. It's easy to clean. I also like the Auto Boost to lift smaller pieces of bread. I also like the cancel button for the times I don't put the bagel and bun in correctly. I have noticed recently that when toasting bread the bottom 1/2 inch does not toast, but not always.

Best Toaster Around!!

Controls are easy to see and use, the 1st use was for bread being toasted for a sandwich. It toasted evenly on the center setting, see picture attached. I gave this toaster 5 Stars

Had to return the first toaster

Because the top seam was open (manufacturer defect!). It took awhile for the hardware store to get another one.
