Subscription Roasting Schedule

I previously would order my coffee in 6 or 7 pound orders to qualify for free shipping. This would last me 8-10 weeks. I am now on a monthly, 2lb, subscription so that I may enjoy coffee that is more freshly roasted. The order that was shipped shipped June 13th was identified as to be enjoyed before 10DEC2016, PSR:181454 E14:06 11028504. The order that was shipped July 12th was identified as to be enjoyed before 10DEC2016 E11:38 11028504. To me, it would appear that these two orders were roasted on the same day. The reason I ordered on a subscription basis and am paying for shipping every two pounds, is to receive coffee beans that are roasted each month. What do I not understand about the subscription service? From the website, it seems that all subscriptions are roasted within 48 hours of shipping. I must have misunderstood the subscription service. Please explain the subscription service to me. If there is no advantage to subscribing, (other than 5% off), should I go back to manual ordering coffee quarterly, or should I change my subscription to quarterly? Can I receive free shipping on a 6lb subscription order?

I bought this coffee because I read in the description cocoa. Where is the cocoa taste? I don't taste the cocoa or the roasted nuts.

I can not find the Latin America house blend whole bean decaf coffee any more and this is all I can buy on line or in the store. The Pike's Place has a very bitter taste obliterated only after adding a lot of half and half or sweetener. Where is the original house blend which had a much smoother taste?

I was excited to try your Pike's decaf k cups. Alas, the coffe is mediocre at best. I make my own k cips using Costcos decaf. So much better taste.
