Quality is impressive, very well put together, delivered fast, and double boxed for protection, not a scratch on it. 7 best things I like about it 1. Quiet motor/compressor, you can sleep with it in the room or van and you would not know it's there 2. It's a fridge and freezer, or freezer and freezer, or fridge and fridge, the sides are adjustable, so it fit any purpose 3. the battery protection it's a great feature to make sure your vehicle will start the next morning 4. Can run from a battery back, literally, you freeze it and take it with you attach it to a battery pack and you get from a couple of hours to all day cold beverages 5. Can keep ice cream frozen and Icecream is life 6. Portable, easy to carry around with its retractable handle and wheels 7. Comes with warranty, and newair its a reputable company, great piece of mind.

This product works great in a house with the ac on but when I tried to use it I the truck it was not able to keep anything cold all it did was kill my truck battery I also tried in the truck with the ac on max and it still couldn't keep up last is I sent it back to them and have not got my money back so all in all do not buy from them not a great product at all

Bought this cooler, battery was out of stock FOREVER. FINALLY got one, open up battery compartment, and battery doesn't fit? I took a closer look and it looks like my fridge is either fake or I was given some sort of prototype product? MY fridge looks NOTHING like what is in these other photos and there is no way I can tell to add my battery. I tried reaching out to customer service - no response. Sadly I'm beyond the point of attempting a return.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very disappointed with this product that I was only able to get one summer use out of it before the Control Panel stopped working and this part is a nonreplaceable part!

The cooler arrived in good time and the packaging was intact without any damage. The item was well packaged. Upon unpackaging, there was evidence that the cooler was not new, but had been used. See the photos for evidence of grass and dirt on the cooler. There was also a smell of fruit when it was opened. Otherwise, excellent quality and size for the price.

This cooler is an absolute game changer in the overlanding community. The NewAir Portable 80 Quart 12V Electric Cooler is the best cooler I have ever owned. For me to make this statement, it had to do a few things that no other cooler I have owned could do. First, it MAKES ICE - 6 hours after I turned this cooler on, my bottle of warm water turned to frozen block of ice. Second, it's POWERED BY BASIC SOLAR - We connected this cooler to our 12v battery and 200W solar system on our overlanding trailer. After powering the cooler, we still had plenty of solar generated power left to operate lights, music and charge phones. The NewAir cooler design does an outstanding job insulating the cooler compartments resulting in low power requirements. Here is why this is so important...imagine you are going camping in a very remote area for a month. On the way you buy some ice cream and put it in the NewAir cooler and connect it to a basic solar system like ours. After a month, you will still have frozen ice cream and a full battery. Game changer! Third, it has a RUGGED DESIGN - I like everything about the design of this cooler. The handle and wheels are rugged and making moving a full cooler easy. The reversible lids make it easy to configure the cooler to work well in any space. There is one last point that must be stated. Since the NewAir Portable 80 Quart 12V Electric Cooler does not require any ice, the 80 Quart cooler feels more like a 120 Quart cooler due to all the extra space available. Right now, I have 60 beers in one compartment and 20 sparking ice drinks in the other...amazing!

My family camps a lot here in Colorado, and many of our spots are dispersed camping far in the wilderness. We have now used the Newair Electric Cooler on two trips and it does exactly what I was hoping it would... no more ice, no more soggy food, plus ice cream on day 3 of a trip is amazing! Ahead of our trips, I plug the cooler in to get it cold before loading any food. Then we run it on our cars power while driving using the cord with the "lighter plug"... what's nice is that the cooler keeps running even if the car is off, and it watches the battery to make sure you have enough power to start back up. Once at our campsite, we run the fridge off of a 100w solar panel and a 35ah deep cycle battery. Kids Love it! Wife loves it! HUGE addition to our camping setup and glad we got it :)

I got this recently and have had several vehicle fridges in the past. Compared to those, this fridge is really large and much higher quality! I plan to mount mine in my SUV for long term Overlanding trips so there are a few features that really appeal to me. * The 80 qt. size is awesome for carrying lots of food and drinks. * The fact that it's dual zone to allow for both refrigeration and freezing gives me a lot of flexibility as far as what I want to carry on a trip. * I like that the lids open on the side. My old fridge had one long lid that opened long ways, making it really hard to reach things in the back. * The quality LG compressor means that I can count on this to last for a long time. Most Overlanding alternatives are made very cheaply overseas and the quality is hit or miss.
