HUGE, COOL, PERFECT for your cigars!!!

This cigar humidor is simply amazing!!! Tons of room for my sticks AND BOXES!!! The lighting is great so you can see every shelf. The fan is ultra-quiet, and this thing is simply a beautiful beast of a humidor!!! Oh, and having that interior water reservoir in there integrated into the bottom shelf makes it easy to maintain humidity year-round!

So close to perfection

I was so excited to get this unit. I upgraded from the 250 count NewAir humidor. This thing looks great in my bar. I love the super bright lights inside, that is a huge upgrade from the strange single blue light that lit nothing. The unit is pretty quiet but it does make some weird sounds unlike my last humidor or fridge. I'm assuming it is from whatever compressor and it is supposed to make a knocking noise. The built in humidification system seems to work well even thought the readings on the unit doesn't match what is says on my hygrometer. The drawers are my issue and why I can't give this unit 5 stars. The dividers in the three top drawers are glued in place and I am to afraid to remove them because it might damage the drawer. The dividers are nice for loose cigars but if you have boxes they are not very accommodating. I have 8 boxes in this unit and only two fit within the dividers and they are both size A cigars so long and thin cigars and boxes. The other boxes just sit in there across the divider and you can't stack them on top of each other if they are sitting like that. Also the since there are only three of the drawers on top they could have made them deeper or added another drawer. If they were deeper you could put more cigars in them because once you are over the edge of the drawers you can not stack them much higher unless you create a pyramid. I guess you could fit 840 cigars in there if you had them in a bunch of bags or something I don't know. This is a big unit and I was hoping I could fit all of my cigars in it (I have no where near 840) but since I can't stack boxes or cigars to high I can't fit as many in there as I was hoping to. This is still the most impressive unit of this type that I've seen and the way the drawers slide out is super nice. I just wish there was removable dividers or at least one shelf without a divider on it so it would be easier to stack boxes inside.

Not good at all

Humidity was all over the place. I've used Boveda for years and it's been fine in keeping things stable, but when used in this unit it fluctuated from 95% -60%. Needless to say, some gunk started to form on the cigars. Really not worth the risk at all.

NewAir 840 with temp and humidity control.

The unit does make more noise than expected. Mine makes an on again off again clicking noise. If you are watching tv in the same room it is an issue.
When you fill it with cigars there is a big difference ( top to bottom )with both temperature and humidity. The biggest difference is with the humidity. The digital display is not accurate and should not be relied on. You will need a calibrated hygrometer.
I bought this unit to keep my cigars in mint condition. I don’t feel mint is the condition I will be able to meet.
The unit looks good. It seals tight. The drawers operate great. Lights are awesome. However, the primary reason one buys a humidor it to keep the cigars at the proper temp and humidity.

Best NewAir Humidor Yet

I recently received this unit and have since seasoned it and started to store cigars. So far, so good. This thing is packed with features. The lighting throughout is a nice cosmetic touch, and the overall design is very sleek and attractive. I love the new built-in humidity system and redesigned control panel. I've used two other NewAir units in the past with great results, but this thing just feels more polished and complete than anything they've sold prior. I will be publishing an update via video review (CutLightSmoke on YouTube) in a few weeks once I've had time to fully evaluate functionality. It's nice to see a larger wineador in the NewAir family. Stay tuned for my full review!

Inconsistent humidity, noisy and doesn't fit "840"

Like many others, I wanted to love this unit. Ascetically it looks awesome. Unfortunately the only reason I bought it was for long term aging and storage, temp and humidity control. I was going to get the Remington but liked how compact and clean this looked, along with the NewAir reputation. I can not get the humidity to read properly or stay consistent. I followed all directions from day one and even re-did everything per the direction of customer service. I have 3 hygrometers and each reads different and about 10% less then what it is set at. The unit also makes many clicking noises which I've gotten used to but does get annoying when watching a movie or something. Lastly the only way your fitting anymore than 300 cigars is in zip lock bags. I have mine stacked but then they end up falling all over when trying to get something from the bottom, I'm fairly OCD and have given up trying to keep the organized. You won't be fitting boxes in here. I did call NewAir and the said they would replace the unit, but they are out of stock... still. I can't return it. I really love the way it looks and fits but I think they need to tweak this a little.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
