[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If there is a deal like 1.4k for 16GB 512GB, go for it. Very solid quality and consistent finishing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design is solid, feel safe to carry it anywhere

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a long time IBM/Lenovo thinkpad fan. I finally upgraded systems after nearly 8 years of faithful service of my old laptop. This system is able to blaze through multiple database queries while handling my programming needs simultaneously. I couldn't be happier.

Astoundingly bad speakers... why?

My company supplied this for me to develop applications and meet with my teammates from around the world. An easy 4.5/5 laptop is rendered a 2/5 due to the astoundingly poor choices around the speakers.
The speakers are on the rear, bottom of the laptop. So they are active throwing sound directly AWAY from you. Normal Earth-humans would develop speakers that face you. Because they are on the bottom, they are throwing noise onto the table, your lap, or other surface you put the laptop on, completely muffling the noise unless you suspend the laptop in the air, which is the only way to not be smothering the speakers.
Even if you do that, the speakers are terrible quality. At their loudest, they emit like, 5 decibels - where a normal conversation is 60. And the scale is logarithmic. And the sound quality is awful. What I'm trying to say is the speakers would have been rejected as a "prize inside" a cereal box for unacceptable and embarrassing quality.
And the other knock is poor thermals. Like the speakers, in Lenovo's infinite wisdom, they decided to have the heat exhaust directly onto your lap/other surface you sit the device on, completely choking out the airflow and rendering the laptop unusable fairly quickly. I need to put the laptop on a towel over a freezer ice pack for several minutes more than once a day to cool it off after heavy workloads. Otherwise, it slows to a crawl.
Please Lenovo. Look at literally any other laptop company. These things are common sense. And speakers aren't an afterthought for people who work at a company and need to have meetings with other people.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good deal for the price. Laptop is fairly light considering the components. Uses the old rectangular charge port.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great laptop. It is perfect for going between my home office and office. I am able to dock it and run two 27" monitors perfectly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very solid machine. The touch screen works great. The keyboard is comfortable. It runs well with an external 4K display in Extend mode. It's even good for a little gaming!
