[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was expecting a tremendous speed increase over my i7. Not at all. I am also having USB malfunction errors on external hard drives that work fine on my Lenovo i7.
Considering it cost more than twice the price of my X1 i7, I'm not jumping up and down

I wish it had an ethernet jack but that's a small trade off for everything it can do. I have already suggested this to several people in the market.

Perfect if prioritizing performance over battery

Super speedy and powerful. I upgraded from a 2016 or 2017 Ideapad and this computer is probably 4-5 times faster doing data analysis or moving files. The only reason for a 4 star rather than 5 star review is that I was hoping to use the graphics card only as needed to improve battery life (I do geospatial analysis, so need it for that, but figured I wouldn't need it to browse the internet), but experienced such a huge drop in performance that it's unmanageable (as in, it took 5-10 seconds to open my file manager when I turned the graphics card off). I'm not a super computer nerd, so take this with a grain of salt, but I am wondering if the performance drop could be an OS issue rather than a hardware issue. Still need to investigate.
