[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use this for work. Runs great so far. Left side fn and Ctrl keys are swapped which takes some getting used to.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop has LOTS of Ram, a decent Nvidia GPU, super fast NVME SSD's and an i9 to boot. This laptop has plenty of power and gets the job done fast.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The battery can only last for about 3 hrs, which is far less than their claim. The others are OK.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ENJOY MY NEW LENOVO VERY VERY MUCH. IT IS FAST. THINGS HAPPEN ALMOST LIKE LIGHTENING AND I HAVE NOT EVEN SET UP MY THUNDERBOLT PORT YET..AFTER MY OLD SLOW, SLOW COMPUTER DIED THIS LENOVA IS WONDERFUL
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really enjoying the ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 3. It handles spatial analysis programs with ease and mows through other work related processing while being a joy to use.
Unfortunately, the fit and finish of the keyboard is poor, compared to my supposedly lesser T460s: the keys squeak, with the spacebar particularly loud. Touch typing is much more difficult, as the keys on the X1 bottom out, creating an uncomfortable effect that is hard on the fingers with extensive typing.
The battery life is good under light load, getting about 8 hours with 50% screen brightness, and battery set to balanced mode.
The laptop is powerful enough to run scientific programs such as loupe browser, or excel spreadsheets with 10,000 rows with ease. Fan noise is greater than my T460s, but not obtrusive.
The screen seems to have good colors, but seems dimmer at 300 nits than my T460s which is rate at 250 nits, perhaps because of the color mode chosen?
All in all, this could be a great all in all laptop, except that the keyboard makes word processing a painful process. Note that this keyboard is still a notch above others out there, it just doesn't reach the heights of T goodness.
Lesson: if you value thin and light at all costs, go for the X series. If you want an all rounder, with great keyboards, but perhaps less battery life, and fewer great screens, go with the T series
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recent purchase. So far, so good. Quick speed, good graphics. The fan is a little loud, but that's okay.
