The system is great. I have an X1 Extreme gen 1 as well and the Gen 3 is about a 30% to 40% increase in speed between my systems. The only thing that I have an issue with is my Lenovo USB C docking station works with it, until the computer is idle after a while. The X1 Gen 3 can't find the external screens, while my gen 1 doesn't have this issue. I am sure it is a BIOS issue.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you need to tackle heavy workload but keep a lightweight laptop, the X1 Extreme is for you. The build quality is great, and it has the best laptop keyboard on the market.
- Within first week, laptop already experienced the blue screen of death.
- Not as quiet as I expected
- Battery does not last long. Probably 3 hours max without charger.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
