The imperfect cooling system brings a lot of inconvenience:
Strong noise makes me feel uncomfortable (as well as all surrounding persons ) while I'm working with laptop
Heavy CPU throttling makes the laptop performance really insignificant comparing to the older models. I feel almost no difference with my old W541.
But while the laptop is powered off - it looks really nice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have high expectation of this laptop but a bit disappointed, not as fast as I hope. Some issues with frozen windows and network adapter. Heavy, not suitable to carry around. Generally still a good laptop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing OLED screen, with the expected infinite contrast ratio, stunning brightness, and out of the box perfect color rendition. The performance is also quite good, but the battery life is less than I expected. I can only get about 4-5 hours doing video conference calls. Build quality is what you'd expect from a thinkpad. Solid, but still surprisingly lightweight.
